Owen McAteer

Owen McAteer (Motus Art) is a visual artist specializing in digital art and interactive installations. Working under the pseudonym Motus Art as a creative coder and generative artist, he uses code to create animated works and installations that actively engage the viewer.

With a minimalist style, his practice focuses on movement and flow, employing algorithms and mathematics to reveal the hidden beauty within numbers.

His works have been exhibited internationally at venues such as Christie's, Phillips, Pandolfini (Italy), as well as in Hong Kong, New York, Miami, and Marfa. He was also a finalist in the 2025 Digital Art Awards.
